Podajemy informacje ze strony ENCoRE (European Network for Conservation-Restoration Education).
Po wakacyjnej przerwie ENCoRE informuje o wydarzeniach, w których można uczestniczyć w najbliższym czasie:
- Prof. Dr. Gerald Ziegenbalg: Green Conservation - Current Status and Further Research Needs - on-line - 18 września 2024 r. o 10:00. - Prof. Dr. Gerald Ziegenbalg is an expert in the synthesis of nanomaterials and their use for the preservation of cultural heritage. After many years at the Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg, he founded IBZ-Salzchemie GmbH&Co. KG, a company specialising in materials research and development. Currently, the focus is on the production of new nanomaterials for the ecological treatment of buildings without the release of toxic components. He has led several international projects focusing on technologies for the preservation of cultural heritage using materials that are compatible with original structures. He is an honorary professor at the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft, Dresden, where he teaches project management and chemical engineering. Due to his long academic and professional experience, he has been appointed as a member of several professional associations and organizations, e.g. in the international scientific and technical group WTA International (Wissenschafltich-Technische Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Bauwerkser-haltung und Denkmalpflege). The EC FP7 project led by Prof. Ziegenbalg STONECORE was awarded the international EuroNanoForum "Best Project Award". He is the author of several dozen publications and several de-networked patents, whose innovations are directed to the field of cultural heritage care.

- Doc. Dr. Federica Villa: Merging Microbiology and Heritage: Biotechnological Innovations in Stone Monuments Conservation - on-line 24 września 2024 r. o 10:00. Link do spotkania: https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/19%3ameeting_NTliYTNjNTUtN2NhMS00ZTUxLTljMWItZmYxNmQyZmI2MzFi%40thread.v2/0?context=%7b%22Tid%22%3a%2249307c8d-b7bd-42d1-9570-63cbd63caf1b%22%2c%22Oid%22%3a%2261ba1fb8-8446-4925-9b3a-7e0ad8778ed9%22%7d>
- Doc. Dr. Federica Villa is based at the Università degli Studi di Milano and is a specialist in microbiology. Her research focuses mainly on the interactions of bacteria-derived biofilms with geomaterials, the ecological and molecular aspects of biofilms and the possibilities of protecting materials based on non-toxic biotechnologies. Her interdisciplinary approach spans the fields of chemistry, engineering, mathematics, geology, conservation and architecture. Within the application of biotechnology in the care of tangible cultural heritage, she is particularly interested in the study of biofilms for the protection of stone monuments and architectural surfaces, as well as the consolidation of porous materials using calcinogenic bacteria. She is the author of numerous publications in international journals and has been co-investigator of many national and international research projects.

- GoGreen European Workshop – Education in Green Conservation - 16-17 stycznia 2025 r. (stacjonarnie - Centre Malher, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne).
- The workshop will examine the state of the art and explore how new content can be better integrated into the training programmes of conservators, physicists, chemists and instrumentalists in Europe towards more ecological conservation processes, including new chemical developments and digital decision-making tools. The workshop will bring together a multidisciplinary international panel made up of experts in green conservation, specialists in pedagogy and educational sciences, including chemical education and environmental sciences.
