The Faculty
The Faculty of Fine Arts is one of 16 faculties in The Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, founded in 1945, whose traditions reach times of the Stefan Batory University in Vilnius. The Faculty consists of the Institute of Visual Arts and Conservation of Works of Art and the Institute of History of Art and Cultural Heritage.
The faculty’s charter includes comprehensive research on art and cultural heritage, artistic activities and work in the field of conservation of work of arts in cooperation with universities as well as domestic and abroad institutions.
Our faculty is one of a kind centre in Poland and abroad, which is a creative centre in its region initiating artistic events and conducting broad activities in research, education and popularisation. The Faculty of Fine Arts cares for a high standard of education offer, providing bachelor’s, master’s and postgraduate studies.

The Faculty, open to international cooperation, supports students and employees who participate in mobile programs of Erasmus+ and initiates contacts and keeps in operation with different cultural and art institutions as well as universities and research centres in Poland and abroad.
