Interest:
Professor Kossowska's research focuses on art, art criticism, and art theory from the 19th to the 21st century, with particular emphasis on the work and activities of Polish artists, theorists, and art critics active both in Poland and abroad. The range of media analyzed includes easel and monumental painting, printmaking, drawing, sculptural techniques and idioms, artistic actions, computer games, and film. Both modern and contemporary art, as well as the most recent developments, are interpreted in the context of global artistic, intellectual, and philosophical trends.
